Shirlee,
I don't say this enough. Actually, I don't say it nearly enough, and that's on me. But I want you to know how much I see you, and how much I appreciate everything you pour into this family every single day.
The way you show up for our kids, the patience it takes to homeschool them, the thought you put into it, that's not something everyone could do. I watch you and I'm honestly in awe. You didn't have to take that on. You chose it because that's just who you are.
And the way you love me, even when I haven't always made it easy, that says everything about your character. I know my actions haven't always matched what's in my heart, and I want to change that. You deserve better from me and I'm committed to giving you that.
As a daughter, the effort you give there too, it doesn't go unnoticed. You carry a lot and you carry it with grace.
I really do believe God put you in my life on purpose. I would be lost without you. Not in a dramatic way, just genuinely, I don't know who I'd be. He knew what I needed before I did.
This anniversary, I want you to feel celebrated. Really celebrated. Not just acknowledged. You are remarkable, Shirlee, and it's not because everything is perfect. It's because your heart is good and it shows in everything you do.
